*START PALACE*
- Start palace is used to start your palace when it is down.
- Even if the Toolpage gives you an error while trying to Start up, please try to connect to your server to make sure it is still really offline.
- Reasons Start Palace may not of worked.
- A pserver.pat file error. View Log can help you find if there is an error or not.
Error -1 Syntax error in hotspot declaration that began on line 161
Error -1 Syntax error in room declaration that began on line 157
Error -1 Script syntax error in psdata/pserver.pat line 172
- A corrupt pserver.prp file. View Log will also help you determine if your pserver.prp file is corrupt or not. If this is your problem just use the Quick Fix command and replace your prop file. You can detect if there is a bad prop file by reading your log for at start up and if the palace gets to the point of loading assests then suddenly shuts down. This is the usual indications that your prop file is corrupt.
Error -1 At the bottom near or at the bottom of your pat file without a syntax or script error.
*STOP PALACE*
The Stop Palace command should be the only way you shut down your Palace. Try not to shut down through your Palace Client.
If done correctly you should have two messages that say passed on your screen in green. If you have two red messages that say failed then your palace was probably already down.
*QUICK FIX*
Quickfix is used to switch a new file with an older one from your Backups folder in the FTP. You have three different types of files you can change here.
- pserver.pat
- pserver.prefs
- pserver.prp
*BACKUP*
Backup will back up any of the three types of files listed below into your FTP Backup folder for the selected file type.
- pserver.pat
- pserver.prefs
- pserver.prp
It is always a good idea to Backup files before making any large changes to your Palace.
*SEARCH LOG*
For Search Log type in the word, regcode, or ip you would like to search for in your current log.
If you have a GOLD or DIAMOND account you can also see/search more detailed log info at Palace Statistics.
*MEDIA CHECK*
- Media Check will remove any unused pictures or sounds in your media folder. The files are not deleted instead they are moved into your /backups/mediacheck Folder in the FTP.
Sometimes you want to keep files in your media folder while their not listed in your pat file, to counter this problem simply make 1 door on your gate and put all files you want to make sure media check doesnt remove them, be sure to put a comment sign infront of them.
Example:
; specialwavfile.wav
the ; is the comment, meaning it doesnt affect any script or cause errors. However, media check will see the file name and will NOT remove the file from the media folder.
*VIEW LOG*
View Log is used to view the current running Log in your Palace. Just select the amount of lines you would like to read from the bottom of your log.
-
- Note: If you would like to read your older logs you can do so in the Backups folder, by downloading them and reading them on your computer.
If you have a GOLD or DIAMOND account you can also see more detailed log info at Palace Statistics.
